Day 111 - Ssss

This little fellow was hanging out in our yard today.  He didn't seem to be in much of a hurry, I think he was enjoying the afternoon sun.

    Nicely captured with great detail Lisa - that tongue is so colourful. I'm sure you got up close to use that macro lens :)

    I think you're a brave lady. I don't know how close you got or if you know a lot about snakes, but I'll prefer to be at least 30 yards from any snake.

    Thanks all! I didn't use a macro lens - it is a snake after all! I shot it with my 200mm, I was lying on my belly about 3 feet (I think) from him. Like I said, he was really lazy and barely moved the entire time.
    I've been known to catch a snake or two in my time, I kind of like them.
